What payment plan. They splash my screen for a payment at the beginning of every month and I pay with a couple clicks. I do not have auto pay or prepay.

I think its called LoadPay. ITS sends money to your bank account when you deliver the load.

I think unless your registered for the Pro version (More money) the refresh doesnt work as frequently.

I think it should be a one price for the full service. Not tiers of service that obviously do not work as intended.

We pay for the Pro service and other than some moments of slowness or lag during the initial login, I am not having any problems with Truckstop.

DAT360 board is considerably more if you want the max refresh and to add more users. $90 per user for above 2 logins.

My carrier pays for the loadboard services and any additional charges/features. I would say 90% - 95% of what is on DAT is also posted on Truckstop. Not much difference. My carrier swears paying for DAT is worth it.

If/when I finally do go solo with my own authority,.. I am not sure I would pay for more than one or the other.

I met a broker (In person no less) the other day in PA while I was picking up a load and he made an offer that has me rethinking my relationship with my carrier. I need to do some more research,.. I am a skeptical person,.. when it sounds too good to be true,.. it usually is. We all want dedicated consistent freight and rates,.. that is what this broker is offering me.

I'm with a very small carrier,.. had 33 trucks/drivers at one point. Now down to just 11 of us,.. all O/O's.

My Carrier pays for what ever the full service is and with the fastest refresh rates.

When I am searching for loads I will have multiple screens with multiple searches (Usually for the same area and and settings for what I am looking for) so I can take advantage of newest loads (Usually the same loads being reposted by the brokers) being posted and still search through for rates, miles or gross all at the same time.

I'll have google maps on another screen, calculator in hand, with the exception of specific broker call center extensions,.. I have 90% of those who post on the board in my speed dial. Blutooth has voice activation,.. I've streamlined this as much as possible. Ridiculous to go through all this just to get a load,.. but when your competing with a million others looking at exactly what I am and doing as I am,.. you have to be quick and ready. "He who hesitates",.. or "Think long,.. Think wrong" have been my moto's when dealing with theses boards.

As long as he pays you within two weeks??? Getting all the freight from.one company. With 60 day terms would scare me.

I didnt think to ask that,. and that is a very good question. He said I would never haul anything for less than $2mi,.. even coming out of Fla. Claimed he could keep me rolling with minimal dead head between loads. Had a network of shippers and receivers.

I dont want to say too much and risk giving away who this is. I know guys here know who he is and probably already deal with him. I'm just trying to think long term,.. what about 2 yrs from now when fuel is back to $4 gal or when insurance rates are doubled? That $2mi was chump change back when the oil fields were booming.

When I worked for SRT like 8 years ago, they used brokers for back hauls, and typically would give me the number for direct contact with the broker, weak office staff I think.
So I do this madman load from Miami with a load of flowers going to Georgia.
Broker is very happy, cause he was very worried. Second load with that guy, smaller broker.
He told me back then, get a tractor, he'd make me $110K a year or better.
Think I still have his number someplace.

I'm back with my micro carrier. 48 trucks. I always wanted to go to Landstar, but my next move will be my own authority.
