    @chalupa

    You sure you got the s7? Cuz samsungs websight, verizon and sprint all say it supports up to 256 gig microsd.

    I have the s6 and it don't have the slot.

    It sounds like the S7 edge. I don't think that one has an SD slot, and it often randomly does things on it's own. It's because the user is touching the sides of the screen - the "edge" - where users are accustomed to phones not having touch-sensitive surfaces. And I believe that this is also one of the models with the spontaneously exploding non-user-removable battery.

    I'm never upgrading from my s5. I just bought a replacement battery and a second Otterbox Defender case for it. These things are about to go off the market, since the s5 is no longer in production, and I want to make sure that I get spares, while they can still be had... :)

    Note 7 was the one with the exploding Batteries.

    S6/S6 Edge had all storage internally - could not insert an Micro SD Card.

    S7/S7 Edge has the ability to add an Micro SD Card - where the Sim is on top, up to 256gb.

    Touching the sides of the Edge does not make it do random things. You have to swipe on the sides to revel what you set to display.

    Took it straight out of the Otterbox my friend just to be sure. No slot or any kind of door on the sides or bottom. Its supposed to be water proof so says the butt heads at ATT and yes its a 7. Active model. They talked me out of the edge, said I wouldn't like it....too sensitive for a working man.

    I had total Wireless at one time the cell service was great being on the Verizon towers prepaid side. But the customer service sucked . Every month there seemed to be an issue one time I went over 24 hours after pre pay for my service a month ahead of time with absolutely no service. said I had no funds available got it straightened out when the next month rolled around I changed carriers. When that happened I went to AT&T prepaid . And thus far for the past six months now they have been great and the cell service has been great

    After careful consideration, I'm thinking I'm probably going to go with an Unlimitedville AT&T hotspot, and go with actual Verizon prepaid (not a reseller) for voice with a "basic" phone. Probably grab an old Razr V3 if I go that route, I loved that phone when I had one.
