Pep Pills?

If you're asking about any kind of pharmaceuticals, don't do it. Caffeine pills and the pretty colorful capsules they sell at the truck stops can help once in a while, but if you get to where you "gotta have ·em" that's bad. Besides being an unsafe crutch, stimulants can lead you into the deadly trap where you need something to bring you down as well. The old "one pill makes you big and the other makes you small" routine.

Getting back to drugstore stuff If God forbid you have a wreck and the law checks your blood or urine an abundance of stims or downers could mean hard time.

 

Are you kidding with this question? Sleep is the only answer, plan your day and get your sleep. On a practical note, if you need to squeeze another 50 miles out of your tired body, stop and get a extra large cup of very hot coffee and get back on the road, sip if you like but in my 32 years and in particular when I had a job where I needed to push the envelope a little I learned this trick that just the act of holding the heavy hot cup will keep you more alert and get you a little farther down the road. Stay legal and safe, that car in front of you may contain my wife and babies.

No no and no ! Your body needs rest and in 30 years of this I've never taken pills although I've pushed things plenty .
Back in the day companies would push you to the point of burn out .
Get rest ! My step father is a life long driver and at 71 he looks 90 and he did whatever it took including drugs that got the cattle there on time .
This doesent mean cow haulers are druggers but it was a different time .
I started in 87 and was offered that crap and turned it down and none of the people I knew who were into that stuff are still around ...my 2 cents .
