I think it would eventually adjust to something somewhat equal to what the pay is now. Also, it would depend whether or not OT is paid. In your example, a 61 hr week @10/hr with OT would be $715. Another variable is OT after 8 hrs.

One thing is for certain, it would pull the skirt down and reveal in living color how little some of these companies pay.

Remember that we are just now coming out of the worst labor market since the Great Depression. In a few more years, wages will start shooting up, and $500 a week won't keep anyone but the worst dregs of society camped in a truck. Nothing will really change until then.

Right,, now imagine companies advertising that pay on the back of their trucks lol. That's the real beauty of it. Imagine the recruiting nightmare if potential drivers started seeing the real deal instead of the 50cpm smoke and mirror BS.

If you're away in a truck then you're responsible for that truck so every minute would count as work so 61hr = $3360. See how that works.

the Staggers Act exempts Motor Carriers from paying overtime, some states have thrown in their two cents...I know NJ law says if the base salary is X amount over minimum wage you don't have to pay overtime. The place I work pays OT after 50 hours...
