To all my beverage/Food Vendors: Whose the most annoying??

I'm speaking of major grocery stores

 

I deliver to them too.
And I don't wait if I can't get it off in under 15 minutes, it stays in the truck.

 

Not sure if make it here. I've seen the higher ups pleading there case to our managers. Just saying but glad you have it worked out like that.

 

They are just as annoying to their customers.... They make you put the word CUS into CUStomer.

Oh I had troubles with that at certain shoe stores and beauty supply outfits. Wind up walking around the building and going in the front door. More often that not, they would have crap music turned up to what I consider to be the threshold of pain. They couldn't hear a phone ring, let alone somebody pounding on the back door.

You'd have to have your supervisor behind you. And he'd have to have the company behind him.

In my area, most annoying is pepsi/coke. Pallets are never dropped neatly, always crooked with two pallets taking up space three pallets could fit in.

Also, drivers who leave the truck in the dock while they go out on the floor. Dock is for loading/unloading only. It's not a parking spot, guys.

 

i HATE all vendors psychotically and i don't understand how any of you can do this type of work. More power to you. i would not do this unless it paid at least $2000 gross per week and the work day was only 8 hours AND i had weekends completely off.

These (self-edited) are ALWAYS in the way and on top of that i hate their trucks.

 

Great benefits and retirement - which I never saw with OTR, better money and it keeps me lean and healthy.

 

I can't speak to the sales side (the little trucks, that go to all the stores), I'm on the transport side. I don't go to grocery stores, I deliver to our route sales depots and third party vendors (Sysco, US Foods, GFS, Reinhart, etc). As for blocking everyone's stuff, have you seen our trucks? We have a lot more cubic feet in our drop-frame trailers, and we're floor loaded top to bottom, front to back. All that packaged air has to go somewhere!
I've had to take up floor space in front of 3 dock doors, offloading at any number of vendors, because their receiving process doesn't put the stuff away as fast as I can palletize and get it out of the trailer.

I will freely admit to being a jerk, however. After all, growing up in NY does tend to leave a lasting impression
