Yes. The first time he didn't realize it. The second time he wasn't looking where he was going and it took him a while to realize what was going on.
Bad day for both of us.

Few years ago I pulled up to the customs booth in Alex Bay, NY and asked the officer what happened to booth #1. "A load of steel beams made a right turn into secondary yesterday and took the top off it".
I bet that the officer in that booth about crapped his pants and bet the driver got inspected real good.25(2)+2 Thanks this. -
Try 10-12 feet of overhang of 60' material on a 48' trailer. That's fun to manage in traffic. Lots of straddled lanes.
-
What if the whole trailer has tail swing?
80 ft load, 95ft truck. In So. Cal.

Try 25 feet of rear overhang on 48 footer with 7 feet of front overhang on an 80 foot load. Tons of fun.Zeviander Thanks this.
-
You guys talking about all this overhang ... you talking about your physique or your rig configuration?
-
Are you really interested in how much front overhang I have on my physique?
-
I posted about that place not long ago.
I wonder if they still park junk trailers in front of the docks.
All mirrors have to be pushed in and if You're stocky, you can't even get out of the truck.
And because they love to overload you, you get to do it twice
And if you get there more than an hour early, they make you drive down and park at the port.
Haven't been there in a couple years, maybe it's changed.
No place for a rookie.stayinback Thanks this. -
Sounds like yet another argument for knowing one's tare weight.
"Sorry, my truck weighs ••••• empty. That last pallet has to come back off".Rusty Trawler Thanks this. -
I had a blind BOL last time I was there
One of those shady broker deals
I was going to Chicago but as far as the shipper knew I was just going 20 miles up the road.
According to their claimed gw, I should've been fine.
But their gw was off
When I told them to cut it they said, why? You're only going 20 miles and there's no scales.
Well, cuz I'm a law abiding citizen
Now cut it or pull it all
It was a long day.
