what is a normal job now days.you get hired by a company then laid off. or you have to work for a temp agency with no future. is not getting in to a field that will not be gone tommorow to overseas intrests. i have watched sevral companys close their doors leaving several hundred people with out any hope. to quote tim allen from the movie galaxy quest "never give up, never surrender".

I think you missed my point. What I suggest is go out and see these companies in your area in person while you wait. You'll find out that the really good jobs do not advertise and you might get lucky. You should always shoot for the top. And by going in person you are showing the company you really want the job. You can download "trucking companies" in your area and then go through the jobs that do not fit your needs. Then hit the streets.

Ive got a a spotless recorded and im still having a hard time finding a job or a company willing to pay for my refresher. the college i got my CDL at just wants more money"which i dont have" will not say if i will get a job. Im not giving up tho im just going to start calling these companys and talk to them over the phone.
my best advice is keep trying and dont wait as long i did. when i got my CDL at 19 years old i couldnt find job so i gave up and went self employed. my CDL is still current and im 21 one right will be 22 in November. Its scary how fast years flew by since i was 19 and one other thing i wouldnt depend on school to get a job just from my experiences :biggrin_25520:
PS: im really planing on hounding werner for job just because I think they allow pets in the truck. which would work great i dont mind going over the road just dont wont to go alone:biggrin_25515:

Did you send for your DAC report? I sent for mine, and mine weren't on there. Just keep beating the bush something will come up. Try the local companies, and rock rucks. Good luck brother.
