Are they going to offer Cobra or are we on our own. UHC was canceled August 31st.

 

I can't answer that. I thought you were looking for insurance questions.

However, I have worked for a company that went bankrupt and the cobra never happened. Insurance was lost because they never paid the premiums that were withheld from checks.

 

Has anyone who worked for the company heard anything about medical insurance.

 

Jeff was told that the ins. would cease on Aug. 31st. It makes things really hard on everyone. He just spent 3 months on home recovering from a shattered heel, and we don't know if he will be able to afford the rest of the appts. Thank goodness he is healed for the most part and the rest are just follow ups.

Jeff has not been able to get ahold of anyone from there now.

 

Yeah I hear that, is jeff considerin celadon?? My app was shot down for not enough exprience but its a boat load of crap i have more than a year so something is a big mistake. I have apps in at Us express and western Express. I hope everything is works out this time.

 

No Jeff won't even try for Celadon. He has a DWAI on his record that isn't old enough yet.. close but not close enough. Jeff has done a several apps, but is thinking now of just staying local or regional due to the kids.

I hope that you are able to find something quickly that works for you. Let us know what happens...

 

fellow driver:I drove for priority 06-07. Seems like they always put faults of there junk Equip. break downs on there drivers. I have a situation where my they blamed me and put it on my DAC . how can I get ahold of someone or a phone # to get it cleaned up so I can get A job?

I have a completly differant opion of Priority. I have heard around that a lot of drivers dislike them. However my time there was great. I busted my butt, proved to them that I was a hard worker, and in turn They took care of me. I got a dedicated run, and whenever i did have to stray from my normal run they put me ahead of everyone else and got me going again. I never waited more than an hr. for a load, in most cases it took 15-30mins from the point i pulled in till I left, all load time no wait time. I do think they hire some crap drivers so those that arent just need to show there not and youll be taken care of like gold. When I left to for a local job Kevin Johnston called my dispatcher and I in his office and asked what he needed to do to keep me there. So for everyone ######## about the company turn around and look at yourselves and ask if you deserve to be treated like a professional or if you deserve to be treated like a steering wheel holder.
