Avoid any company with Arctic in its name.
Your already screwed before you get in the truck. -
ive been w Artic a few months, drug tests are paid by company but charged to driver if i quit b4 90 days
im getting the sign on bonus no problems it pays out over time like everywhere else, $1250 in 2 months so far -
Good for you driver. And I can see charging back the driver on the drug test if they don't make 90 days...but what happens if you don't make 100 days? The same thing. These companies find any reason (or no reason at all) to keep money that doesn't belong to them. And it's never gonna stop until enough people do enough complaining to the right people---and the fine people of these forums are not them. You need agencies, and lawyers.
-
popcorn ready. so? how about some examples.
-
i don't see charging the driver if they don't make 90 days. it is there requirement under the law. if they offered some guarantee of pay in writing then maybe. but nothing is stopping them from hiring you and not getting you the miles you need so you quit.
-
No....it is EVERYONE'S requirement under the law.
Without the drug test you don't get hired. Deny or fail a drug test you lose your job, but they stay open. Get in an accident where a vehicle needs towed, injury requiring attention off scene, or fatality occurs YOU as the drive are required to drug test or YOU lose your job and BOTH are subject to law suit. During "Randoms" YOUR name is drawn, not your dispatcher and not the owner of the company. -
yes. you are right. for the company to hire you they... i repeat THEY are required to drug test you. so therefore where did the idea ever come that you are going to pay for a drug test that they are required to administer?
-
Ok....apparently you ain't gonna get it. So, good day.
-
that was the question. what am i missing? where did it become acceptable to charge a driver for drug tests? is all i am asking?
