My experience was bad enough that I would never try to use it again .

I think most here will say others are actually better .

We only fuel at PFJ so 9 out of 10 of my breaks at truck stops are at a PFJ. I have looked for wifi at several of the last Loves and other independent truck stops I've stopped at over the past 6 months, and almost every time, NOTHING.

A few of the PFJ that are out in the sticks might not have fast internet (no cable provider) but they ALL have some level of wifi internet, and most are "premium" that does in fact out perform most any McDonalds or Starbucks or other public Wifi you may run across, even during peak times.

Say what you want about the PFJ chain in general, but you could do a lot worse.

Most of the major brands have wifi.

what is available in the parking area is always a gamble.
for the most part the servce is garbage. of the few times I have tried to use it, it has been very poor. and if you call the help desk, they will not have much to offer. they can't even refund when the sysytem is total waste of time. tried to download my mail in ontario, ca. even in the store it took 45 minutes for 12 emails.

Not Netflix, bittorrent. Timeshifting is where it's at.

Seriously though, a directional Yagi antenna isn't going to give you bandwidth that isn't there to begin with. It's just a way to get connected when you have to park at the back of the lot and the truck stop hasn't bothered to make sure their whole lot is well covered. Instead of one or two bars you get four or five.
