YRCW already has a non-union company, YRC Logistics.

In cincy - the yellow terminal is leased - the roadway terminal is owned.

the 12 yellow road drivers will be moving onto our board and bringing in their contracts and freight.

boards will be dovetailed - and we should be hiring again in the spring.

the biggest losers appear to be the middle managers and redundant positions like dispatchers and planners.

And this surprises some people...because ?????

Anyone who believed/bought into the "seperate" claims, needs to be checked out by their local Dr. for mental issues.

It's a matter of historical fact that companies merge after they are bought out. The only thing that differs in the mathmatics of the issue. How long a company waits to perform this act.

well the surprise came from a full on merger - after our CEO said that "brand identity" was the most important thing to maintain.

now that brand id (keeping names on the market that people have known for 80 years) is secondary.

That holds true in every business eventually.

Case in point Sinclair. I miss those in my area. Although I see them while I go about my travels, they function under another name in our area.

You seem to be in the know from here and as well from what I am told by other drivers... with that in mind, you say Cinci will be hiring in the Spring... do you know of any other terminals or areas where this might also have a positive effect, creating driver jobs, whether casual, local, long haul... ?

I imagine across the board we will be hiring.

We have a lot of guys at or "past" retirement age - and this change may be too much for them - and they will use it as a stepping off point.

as always - I let everyone know when we are hiring.
