Always hated the flashed highbeams at night. I just bump the marker interrupt switch a few times. If they are looking in the mirror it's easy enough to see, doesn't mess with the passing drivers night vision, and doesn't make me give up any visibility either.

    JPenn Thanks this.

i have always driven slow trucks and started out turning off the headlight switch for a second
these daytime running light trucks got the highbeam flash switch on the turnsignal
i finally decided im not doing the traffic director thing with the lights all day and i signal no one unless you got a semi on your tail
i noticed alot o drivers get their feelings all hurt and go through all kind of operations with their talights and turnsignals to remind you they need some highbeams
no you cannot drive my truck im going home every day

I don't flash or get on the CB, heck I don't care if they ever come over as I never get a Thank You.
    .
But a while back I hollered on the CB that it was clear for a flatbed passing me to come over and magically he came right over, no Thank You, maybe a coincidence but I doubt it.
So I didn't bother to tell him a packed full side box on his trailer was open

redoctober83 and Rusty Trawler Thank this.
