I am curious to know what the rate on Christmas trees run these days. Any owner ops have any actual rate knowledge would be awesome.

The ones I see brokers posting are awful. The fellows I've spoke to that do it direct have some more reasonable numbers. Nothing impressive imo, but not awful either

They are awesome if your van stinks... Fresh pine scent...
Bean Jr., HotH2o, CrappieJunkie and 2 others Thank this. -
Not really. It's usually a huge PITA to pick them up and then spend three days trying to get rid of all of them. And then you get to spend a couple of hours cleaning pine needles out of your trailer.
whoopNride and mjfreespirit Thank this. -
I met a company driver yesterday doing 20 Wal-Mart's from an Oregon tree farm. That's gotta pay!

Just delivered a load of them Thursday. They do make a mess in the trailer, nothing me and my broom couldn't take care of in ten minutes. Rate was better than anything else going back to where I needed to go. I would do it again.
CrappieJunkie, 4mer trucker and Ruthless Thank this. -
i delivered a load this past monday.....it payed 2$/mile but man i will never do it again..it was two stops with driver assist...was very tired after after delivering those 700 trees...the trees were not on pallets and it took forever to unload.
