Was terminated for this accident.

I worked for a FedEx contractor and I was terminated for a accident on 08/23 it has been bugging me since the day I was terminated. It was the perfect job for me. Now I'm stuck at transam lets just say I am not a fan.

why? Here is how it happened.

There was a accident I was driving up to. The road was clear ahead of me no traffic. the accident was off the highway in the woods but there were emergency vehicle in the break down lane with his lights on.
I moved over to the left lane the car behind me decided to pass in the right lane. When she done that she then tried to get back in to the right lane and stepped on her brakes causing me to hit her. I slammed on my brakes I couldn't do anything to avoid her.
If I jerked my wheel and tried to move over quickly to the right lane I might have hit the rescue truck with my rear trailer which would been a worst situation.

I was not ticketed and she was for unsafe lane change. I did not have damage to my truck but her car got towed and she had whip lash.

I feel like I did nothing wrong. Why, did I get terminated this was my only problem in 18 months of working there.

 

I had talked to the private ivestagtor for the insurance company. I told him I was terminates for this accident and his face was priceless he didt think I done anything wrong at all and I handled the situation very well.


This whole deal is killing me it really is i went from making great money to crap money. From being happy to being annoyed and pissed every day.

 

Yup I needed a dash cam that day.

Whelp my speed was safe for the situation I was only doing 58 at the time. Clear road ahead of me.


And by the way this Fedex truck is governed at 68... Say what you want about Fedex butt I thought they were a #### good company will organized and made sure there driver didn't look like a #### hippy...
