Wow, sounds like a good truckstop to stay way from.
-
Not a good sign that the first death is unsolved, either
-
Wow, thats pretty scary. But my question is, where were the camera? Our TS has cameras that watch all the fuel islands.
-
Yep once again it looks as if someone failed to look aroud before moving their truck. I still have a hard time understanding how anyone can hit something or somebody and not know???? OH and another family left without the reason of why their Loved one is gone.
-
All Pilots are the DEVIL'S truck stops.
-
Yea, those crap Pilot's are always soooo busy, I find it hard to believe a camera or a person didn't see ANYTHING? WTH? And, yes, Pilot can afford cameras...
-
They may be able to afford the cameras but they higher incompetent employees that chances are, they would not know how to operate them. I believe the Pilot Travel Centers are the only fuel stops that I dealt with, when I was finished fueling, my blood pressure would go up, because the cashiers they hire seem to always be rude. Very seldom did I have a problem with the Flying J, TA, or Petro, when it came to courtesy.
-
I was there a few times several years ago, as Pilots go, it wasn't that congested, nothing like Minooka, IL. That may be part of the problem.
The other thing is that it's not well lit. When on foot at a truck stop, watch your back, chances are, no one else is doing it for you.
I was dropping a trailer being relayed at the Perrysburg TA, when another driver almost backed over me, without my peripheral vision, I would have been flattened, and then idiot pulls up and backs in again with me standing next to my truck. He was driving a day cab and in a big hurry, but there were a dozen empty spaces going away from us, why did he use that one. I went to the other side to get into my truck.
The world is full of crazy people and not all of them are locked up.
-
I've been all over the place, stopped in all sorts of truckstops. I walk over those things at all sorts of hours, and the only ones I have EVER had issues with are Pilots! (Except for one T/A in TN...)
