In orientation they said to keep all messages on the qual com, that's all well and good till dispatch ignores your messages...they still keep on telling drivers to not call in. There's dispatchers who will screw up and then try an turn things around so you the driver are to blame whenever possible. 1845 is on a monetary pay raise system so if you're assigned a truck that is always breaking down you are guaranteed to not bring in the required income amount per month and you'll never see a pay raise. That goes the same when work is slow or dispatch is slow to issue out loads. I have witnessed dispatch playing favorites time and time again. They will also call you before your HOS break is complete with a load and if you do not take it they will put you down as refusing the load then you'll have a huge time delay in getting another load later on when your actually legal and rested to drive. Also the mechanic shop in West TX likes to assume things, the lead mechanic assumed I stole equipment from a truck I was temporarily assigned to. So when the next driver got into that truck they told them I was the reason equipment was missing so they could come after me and get revenge. They damaged the trailer I am assigned to. Not a wise decision to turn drivers against each other. People and property will get hurt.

Rule of thumb, before joining any company, do a little research, ask drivers if you see them.. You can also check their safety reliability through the D.O.T. When you are assigned any equipment, do a thorough inspection of the equipment.. Also take pictures, and show it to your dispatcher and shop. If they refuse to fix anything that would be considered a safety hazard, the refuse to drive it.. Worse come to worse, hand them the keys back and say see ya...

I am grateful for forums like this. If we as drivers will have a DAC report to follow us around, then to companies need there own type of DAC. But at least we have websites like this to get the word out if nothing else. Thanks for the advice, yes I will be doing more research before taking a leap of faith and signing on to any company.

Oilfield companies are hiring right now, partner. Look around and get with a better company. There will always be shady companies in the patch. Just leave 'em behind and move on.

Any company that loses their Authority and has to move from North Dakota to Texas and team up with another company and change their name automatically raises a red flag.

The question is why did they loose their credentials and how did they keep a driving force to relocate this far away? To run under another company's authority?
