My trainer says I need to fogure it out myself but I vant. The door keeps getting stuck on something but I checked all alone the doorway and hinges and nothing is working. Now theres like a crowd of 10 people watching me and I just want to curl into the fetal position and cry.

Is truck and trailer inline? Sometimes if tractor is parked at an angle door wont close all the way.

Make sure the trailer axles are positioned on the even pavement. If they aren't, especially under load trailers (mostly older, tired ones) will slightly twist and hooks will be off the position to catch the latches. If it's on even, there may be an issue with the top not closing, than you need to push it, make sure it all goes where it should. For opening issues, if they tend to get stuck, open both at the same time.

If the trailer is not level, the body will actually twist preventing the door from closing. Close the left door first. Have the door handle turned all the way to the right. Close the door enough to engage the latch. As you turn the handle to the left, the latch will pull the door into the locked position. Repeat for right side door. Hope that helps.

Usually the box just twists a little, pull up 10-15 ft and see if it levels out. Otherwise just use a crowbar and a bigger hammer!

And do not forget to use the magic words!!! In Bulgarian we use мама ти да...which is very close to FYM in English :) Works like a charm!

I've had some real pos trailer loading out of a wood mill with a very uneven yard and it would just refuse to latch all the time. Sometimes I'd get out on the industrial park road and pull over with my blinkers on and see if it would be less 'twisted'.
