Yes thats about correct, I learned the hard way I lose a truck that was paid off running out of Miami and port everglades. Now I run out of Jacksonville and doing 100% better, winter haven and port canaveral are not bad either.

I use to run otr and I will never go back to that, I rather be home every night or even every weekend for $2k than run otr for $2500. It's a lot less stressful and I don't end up in who knows where can't get a load out. Anywhere I go I come right back to the port, if their is no work I'm home and that's rare. Plenty container work here to keep you busy even weekend work if you want itThe Boss Lady Thanks this.

Yes but even company drivers making $900 to $1100/week home every night off on weekends

I live in Jacksonville (about 20-15 minutes from Blount Island) and have my own truck. I told a friend about my intentions to pull containers, he told me a 100 reasons why I shouldn't. SMH. If I can bring home 2-3k and still see home daily or at least a few nights a week and weekends, I'll take it.
