I just installed mine ran the antenna wire up the middle of windshield around the box (to hold the wire then put it in the topmost storage place. Everything inside put the magnet on a large steel plate I had. Checked reception was perfect took 15 mins for the whole process 2014 cascadia

I hit the road tomorrow if I don't post that means it works great I've heard of people putting the antenna magnet in a aluminum pie crust pan with the metal under it for an amplifier effect that was my original plan but I didn't have the .50 cent pan and the signal strength was the highest on both the measurements. Let me know if it works. If no metal plate use a soup lid or something like that

15 minutes ran the antenna up middle of windshield around upper glove box (to hold wire) then put magnetic antenna on a steel plate all interior setup I checked signal and both were great I was going to put a aluminum pie pan between the magnet and steel plate to amplify but it appears I don't need to if you don't have a metal plate I've heard soup can lids work btw mines a 2014 cascadia fiberglass and aluminum
Let me know if it works I'm road testing mine Monday if I don't post it means it's working great
