Pull AND HOLD your 5th wheel handle all the way out for 5 -10 seconds. Then back under and test your connection.
-
one thing you need to remember is the handle will only move if it gets triggered by the jaws
1, take a photo if you can with the truck from out from the trailer, and under the trailer, and the mechanism under the front of the turntable.
2, what brand/style is it.
3, is trailer sitting on the turntable flat fully.
4, where is the location of the handle back or near front of turntable. -
Then there's the tried and true mega carrier method. Stop about five feet in front of the trailer, put it in reverse, rev it to at least 1500 rpm's, and then pop the clutch. If it doesn't work at least you have the satisfaction of letting everyone within a mile radius know you are driving a POS.
snowwy, Chewy352, Midnightrider909 and 1 other person Thank this. -
''lepton1'' that's exactly what destroys turntables you should be able to reverse under and it should just go click and closed hooking up reversing under is a slow process not meant to done a 100 mile and hour
