Did the $200k include the purchase of the truck too?

KR tells everyone how to build a trck and run a truck. He sets up a model for many to follow...

    ...and yet...

    ...his trucks...

    PULLED CHEAP FREIGHT.

Yeah driver, spend a quarter mil and pull cheap freight!

He's the trucking industry's Oprah Winfrey.

    "But Six, Oprah made money."

She's part if the problem, not the solution. Never been married, no kids, YET she tells 2 billion women how to run a family into the ground.
How would you feel if you followed KR like gospel, built a high dollar truck to pull cheap freight, and your engine blew?

"But Six, he's a smart guy..."

Really? You could go to a dealer, buy a new truck and pull cheap freight for half what he spent. Maybe you guys are just dumb.

@dustinbrock ....by the way. Bruce at PP is a scam artist as well. Thats why they stay in the public eye backing each other up. Same goals in mind and that is..."lets see how many sheep we can take from the head"

You left out the part about Calvin Riperyouoff is getting paid BY the COMPANY that makes the PRODUCTS he ENDORSES.....

Not trying to be rude, just giving cold hard facts.

Yeah, that is a big criticism against him. He steps over dollars to pick up dimes! If you are getting $1.25 after surcharge, he will help you lower your expenses in order to make a little more, but never suggest you try for $2.00 a mile. There, I've increased your net per mile $0.75. Slowing down, and all those other tricks will never increase your bottom line like getting a better rate will.

He doesn't tell guys haul cheap freight. he says there are situations where it makes sense.

I get paid $1600 to bring my load 350 miles. I then come back empty. do that everyday. We are given the option to bring another product back up with us but it only pays $800. I choose not to because at 140,000lbs that's a lot of extra loaded miles for half the price but there are a lot of coworkers who see it different, that $800 pays for the fuel and now the $1600 is your pay.

Under your logic, they are dumb but maybe I'm the dumb one because I'm 50% empty miles making way less money. Of course I moved out here so I wanna do my load and go home to the wife's cooking so I could give 2 ####s. years of living on the road has me thinking I'm living the dream right now.

I don't take you as rude. none of this pertains to me anyways. Nothing he talks about has anything to do with my business. I'm hauling super b crude oil regional loads.Air tabs and flow below are useless, apu are a waste of money and I don't reset in my truck to kill the battery so maxwell is useless. his scan Guage would have a heart attack at the way we drive. Oil bypass is the only MUST in my opinion. but I refuse to extend oil drains.

But as I said. He's got his place and from the indo I hear, some of it could have answered a few questions I had early on. I respect anyone who goes out to help others and you #### rights he's gonna profit from it. why not? What's it matter that he's paid for the products he endorses? he finds a product he wants to endorse then tells them I'll make your business sales skyrocket for x amount.

I don't see the issue here.

I had a company do a hydraulic rig up on my truck and when I picked it up, they had their logo on my hydraulic tank. I made them remove it. I said I paid 25k fir that setup and haven't used it so why would I endorse and advertise? and if I do, that spot will cost you money to use.

I have to disagree with the first part of what you said. Unless he has changed since I stopped listening to him, 1 he was only about leasing to a carrier. His own example was while at FedEx, he determined that hauling triples added $0.09 to his bottom line, so he did it. In other words, he would take only $0.09 more for doing 1 1/2 the work. 2 he mocked OOIDA's "Say No to Cheap Freight", so to suggest that he didn't advocate running cheap freight is inaccurate.

His slow down minions couldn't figure out that getting $5.00 to haul cattle at the speed limit earned more money than slowing it down to 55 mph.

KR is a cool dude. We've meet and shuck hands. He's a real person who's using his platform to conduct more business; just take everything with a grain of salt. Do your research and cross reference the things he suggests.

For someone who's knows very little about the basics of business AND trucking, then KR's book/ program could be of value to you.

Anybody who takes one mans way or suggestions and runs with it, without further research is lacking common sense.

my opinion is; he has the best show on the trucking channel because at times its can be halfway informative, he can level with just about any one in the trucking industry. But he's become a fall out guy for people to point their fingers @ and complain/ blame. People like to complain and blame. Just use common sense

I like to hear trucking business on the radio and he's about the only one doing it seriously

I've heard him say that if you haul a load to a area at a good price but there's nothing but cheap loads coming out of that area and he's going to deadhead to a area with better priced freight, then yes he'll haul the cheap freight up to the good paying load rather then deadhead.

Maybe you are. He doesnt have to tell drivers to pull cheap freight. HE PULLED CHEAP FREIGHT.

If anyone should have said, "Say no to cheap freight", he should have. But instead, he pulls cheap freight and teaches you to be satisfied with cheap freight. Crunch numbers all you want, eat sammiches and ramen noodles and you too can make due with cheap freight. He pimped you out to the lowest broker.

Maybe I am stupid for not taking the backhaul? I'm the guy refusing cheap freight, I'd rather run back empty.

In my line of work, that $800 backhaul is a joke. But I guess it's to each their own.
