Actually it's not really the company policy they just tell us not to bother because we service a lot of military bases and some of them are zealots and consider a Tire Thumper as a weapon and will take it away from you.

I've never had a military base question me about my sledge hammer.

The Qualcomm thing is pretty lame. It's like being a kid and your parents give you a leap pad when they know #### well game boys exist.

The truck I drive runs smooth and quiet if I unplug the QC. Hook it back up and it sounds sick with ratty diesel knock.

Must have some crappy software to "fuzz" the data bus that bad.

Yep, there IS NO REQUIREMENT in DOT regulations to do a pretrip inspection. You need to only log one inspection per day. Companies can require more than DOT requirements.

The most important inspection for me is post trip. I log half an hour, but it sometimes takes longer than that.

It is for us too, since overnight would be the time to get the issues fixed.

Of course, nobody ever does it, and in the mornings you'll see everyone lined up at the shop.

    Lepton1 and snowlauncher Thank this.
