They don't just don't care. His health and memory hasn't been right either. He can't remember anything about the accident other than he said he remembered hearing the brakes squalling and he woke up. They've done nothing but harass him since the accident. Instead of stepping up and doing the right thing for a good employee they just tossed him.

I work for UPS and we have a few guys from FXF that were hired on here not that long ago. Either company your gonna make a decent living so go with the best fit for you and the family. FXF is not the best carrier out there and neither is UPS.

The problems is the higher seniority could take your spot where ur assigned to drive. I drive for fedex freight for 2 years now. We have former ups/conway drivers in our terminal. I used to run to pocono summit terminal by i-380 from snow shoe. 300 miles every night. Forced to do dock work at pocono unless if I have syracuse via. Since old folks took over my spot, I was forced to chose harrisburg run, 246 miles per night. BS dock work, do intermodal runs when available. 58 cents a mile. paid task. Under elogs now. Most terminals are corrupt by idiots stacking freight on top of hazmat, not secruing decked freights, not putting a bar behind/front of tall freight. Not the best carrier and neither UPS.
speedyk Thanks this. -
I didn't sign my application to do dock working bs mess. I applied to drive trucks and gain experience. I won't mind have runs to youngstown but it will probably take years to get higher seniority. I'll consider to quit and prepare my blue t600 ready otr for next year

You have UPS and UPS Freight confused. Ups is union and the will never hire a truck driver from applying. But only from within. UPS freight is non union, and is the LTL division of UPS.
They were union before ups bought them out. An outfit called Overnight. Witch UPS bought to compete with FedEx after they bought American Freightways.
Now if one could get on with UPS and work about 7-10 yrs before you could get a feeder run position. It would be great, but that's a long time to wait.
However FedEx freight is the better choice. -
