I never said he knows everything. He's a guy who owned trucks for many years so what he does know could be valuable to many. As a new driver you could go into a flying j and talk to a old driver and get a lot of the same information, Kevin just has the platform to make it public.

His opinion changes because he doesn't know everything and he's learning like every trucker out there. Show me a trucker who knows everything and I'll show you a liar.

That signature truck is a whole can of worms. It was a very innovative thing they were doing that had great potential. Someone somewhere screwed up but I don't think it was Kevin.

Go look back over the topics I've written on over the years on this forum and you'll see my opinion yoyo too. You base opinions on what you know at that specific time.

me one person Kevin helped get started that's now successful using all of Kevin's idea. The couple with the signature truck sure aren't.

 

Your hate for this man seems to run deeper than it should.

I think of Kevin Rutherford like I do this forum. This forum is full of experience and knowledge, opinions and ideas. some of what's on here is crap and some is good. Some opinions on here are wrong, some are just wrong to me but some are amazing.

No matter what, through the fog that is this forum, you have a platform where everyone is equal and free to share, people who would be scared to ask questions can.

You wouldn't not believe the detrimental impact this forum has had personally on my business growth. I've asked some stupid questions over the years but always gotten a answer. Everyone here has been involved in saving thousands upon thousands of dollars in repairs and diagnosing.

I listen from Kevin and his show from time to time, I don't agree with a lot of what's said but over the years I've learned a thing or 2, gotten a idea or heard of a product either from him or a trucker calling in. I believe his platform is 1 of many I utilize to make me a better business owner.

To say name 1...... Any 1 who's ever gotten a answer they were calling into his show for.

 

That is one of several problems I have with him is some of the products he pitchs .hes sucking new or nieve guys into spending money on because that company will sponsor him.Turbo 3000d he swore by that crap it literally did nothing.and if you really think there a special mystery oil you can pour in your engine and it's going to fix worn parts come on.I respect people who have a show and look out for the people listening not the ones who will take money from anyone then try to unload crap on his audience then act like he on your side.

 

I have no hatred for him. Yes your right he does give some good info once in awhile. But no matter the program a lil good info slips in to any and all. Why I don't like him is he won't stand behind his product. He has no backbone in my opinion and this is just my opinion but if you won't back your product your just another sleazy salesman. And part of his product is his advice he gives yet he won't come here and post in this forum backing up his opinions. I have no respect for him since he will not back anything even himself unless someone's mailing a check for it.

I would respect him if for say he would have a sit down conversation with say...... Triplesixx but he never will cause 6 has to much knowledge and intelligence and he has the experience to point out flaws and things that just don't work and Kevin will never put himself on the line with a guy like that. Ask Joseph Kevin won't even take his calls even after being called out on this forum and answering.

You can buy into his &@ if you want but his arrogant I know everything attitude ain't selling nothing at my shop. And I think his new found health kick should be examined by Sirius xm.

And remember his trucks were leased to fedex now he's giving advice on running as a independent and dealing with brokers. All things he hasn't dealt with or done in years. And let's look at fed ex. He was a lease operator on a line haul contract not a otr operator at all. So when he says I have all this experience please tell me where it comes from.

 

I just don't like the fact that he is now a diet "expert". That and he comes of as kinda arrogant.

 

I'll agree with that arrogant part. I don't mind diet advice, especially in our industry but I've been on that ketogenic diet since before he started talking about it so I'm bias in that regards. I think it's an amazing thing.

I don't like the amount of time he spends talking about it and I don't think he should be giving any medical or prescription advice.

 

I don't think he knows enough about it, and too many people think his word is gospel. And if you ask him(and I've even heard him say it) He knows more than the doctors and dieticians do.

 

To double on that prescription comment. The "keto" diet has the ability to help in may ways medically. If you researched it you would be amazed, but research it from the medical side of Dr. volek or Dr. mercola and not redit.com housewives section.

My ulcer/gerds mess I takes called nexium and I've taken it for 13 years cause nothing else will work. 1 pill every 24 hours. after 28 if I don't take it, I'd be throwing up stomach acid all day. I took 50 extra strength zantac in a week cause I couldn't get my script once.

After being on the keto diet, I totally quit. I can even eat crap truckstop food every now and then with no problem. But I have a insane medical understanding of the diet and the biochemistry going on with it.

many a average person on this diet are not even in "ketosis" and Kevin is telling them to lower major medication dosages recommended by certified physicians, not just heartburn pills like me.

That, I take issue with.

 

So here's another thing do you honestly think Kevin would go out buy a 99 Columbia with 1.5 million miles on it and happily haul for $1.10 plus fuel surcharge.

I highly doubt it. But he will sell that business model everyday.
