Location for the night

I thought about it but was going to a notoriously slow customer with no bathroom. I'm just not a risk taker anymore since I started this trucking gig. If you're ever on Bloomfield Ave in Newark hit up JJ's hot dog truck. I used to eat their about every night in my self loader days. haven't been in years but he parks on the north end at the corner of Bloomfield and Lake.

Why say that?

 

Rest area on 91 in Connecticut. still 50 miles short of my delivery but I had enough today with the traffic. I lost 2 1/2 hours bringing an empty to FedEx after a 5 hour unload just to turn around and go back to Kearny because they didn't want it. The guy said they told Schneider to stop sending empties 2 weeks ago. Wonder why there's never any empties in the drop lots. It made a clearly frustrated driver's day though at least when I was coming into the Kearny lot with it and he was just heading out going empty hunting.

 

Just another example of the non communication between CS and everybody else... I would like to see how many hours a week are wasted on garbage like this with the entire fleet... SMH

 

Plus tolls, fuel, etc.
