Well quality is a third party leasing company. A bit different. The typical lease purchase the carrier has all control of the truck, you can't take it to another carrier if you want.

i bought this one through daimlerchrysler. Every one before this was paid with cash.

But no. Mercer does not control what i haul or who i haul for. Most of the stuff i haul is their freight. But i don't always haul their freight. I'm not above calling up some contacts and taking a better load from either a broker or a direct customer.

Yes they do. They don't force them to work or haul a load but everything they haul must be approved by mercer. So in the end mercer controls everything.

I'm not knocking mercer but you are leased to mercer mercer controls what you haul. No different then lease purchase you just own or make payments to another company. Simply said you are a lease operator.

Being leased to a carrier (lease op) and being in a lease purchase program are on no way shape or form the same thing.

He owns his truck, it doesn't matter if he owes a bank money or not. That rig is his aND he's free to mould it from mercer any time he wants. Lease purchase, you leave, you lose the truck.

That's the only difference he can take his truck. But he said there was a difference and he wasn't a lease op. Which he is mercer controls his truck whether he likes it or wants to believe it he can't load anything mercer doesn't approve which is no different then a lease purchase guy. He jousts mails his payment to a different addresses

You dont understand how it works here. At the end of the day, mercer controls nothing i do. At no time have i every been told they won't let me pull for company xyz. There have been times that i had to wait for mercer to be paid before i was paid with smaller customers with not much history, but i knew that going into it.

But reality is you run under mercers numbers and they say yes or no. Can you haul a load without contacting mercer? Do all your checks come from mercer? Does it say mercer on your truck? Mercer controls everything if you say I wanna haul bobs brokerage load mercer has to approve it correct? You just can't use mercers number and do as you please without there approval?

What is this approval you keep talking about? Yes i make a phone call and say 'hey tim, customer xyz called me for next Tuesday, here is the $ number i agreed to, here are the addresses. Fax over the load agreement to 1234567890 when you get a chance. Thanks man". Simple as that. Ok sure they 'approved it' but you are making it out to be some big controlling thing it isn't. If at any time they tried to tell me no, can't get that load id cancel my lease on the spot and reinstate my mc number.

Now that being said, most loads i pull are their loads. After all, boeing doesnt want to deal with us little guys. But not all. And nothing forces me to only pull their freight.

As i said above, you really don't understand how it works here.

I am noticing something. KR's sycophants aren't rushing to his defense, and the guys who are defending him are still saying caveat emptor! The one who defends him the most doesn't even follow his advice!

    Very telling.
