I live in Jackson, Ohio. I don't really need the buyout info. According to Google maps, it is 177 miles south of Bellvue. I did see a Prime tanker last Sunday on my way to Chillicothe, (and 3 reefers and 1 flatbed) so I know at least a few Prime trucks com through this area.

If I go to Prime, I will stay the year, hopefully much longer!
I have another question.. do the tanker OTR drivers get the lightweight trucks? I didn't see the extra .05 cpm on the website for anything but the reefers. I saw from your videos that you have one, but you are home quite often.

Thank you for answering so many questions. I really appreciate it. I will use your link to submit my application.

Ha! We haul canola oil to the General Mills in Wellston twice a day out of Decatur. No promises, but I'd bet you could get home every weekend. Or #### near.... Or at least by the house regularly. I can ask my Fleet Manager to see for sure.

As for OTR trucks, there are a few company guys in LW's, but far fewer than in reefer. I've never asked them if they get the 5 cent bonus.

That is AWSOME! To do that wouldn't I have to be on the dedicated account? I hope it could work out that way! I will keep my fingers crossed that you find out something positive from your fleet manager..
That would probably seal the deal for me and I would definitely go to Prime!

    THANK YOU !

Correct - you would need to lease a LW and do he dedicated that I do.

My FM says no it shouldn't be an issue getting you home. Apparently it fluctuates between 1-2 loads a day M-F and 0-1 a day Sat & Sun, so depending on loads, truck availability, etc, he can get you there. My advice would be - if you wanted to get home EVERY weekend, you'd have to put in home time every Monday and remind him on Thu afternoon or Fri morning. Would all really depend on if you wanted one day or two at home and how flexible you are.

I wouldn't need to be home that often, but maybe sooner than every 4 weeks. That sounds like a GREAT option. I wouldn't have a problem leasing if I could get on the dedicated route. Who would I talk to about that? I am sure the recruiter will say that I live too far away for the dedicated account.
I would send you my email or phone number in a private message if I knew how. :)

If I could just spend a night at home every couple of weeks that would be great. I will most likely be putting in my application the first of next week. My wife has surgery this week and I want to be sure all goes well before I do anything.

Thanks! Since you already have your class A they will have you take a road test, backing test, and pretrip test. If you pass those you will be able to skip psd and go right to tnt.

I am still leasing, it was a great decision. If you have experience running a business, and are good with numbers, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, going company for a while first wouldn't hurt.

If you come in with your cdl, there is no contract! Once you pass the evaluation they rip the contract up!
