Is it bittersweet for you? Guess I could see it going both ways. Or, perhaps it's none of my darn business!
Panhandle flash Thanks this. -
That means the place in Indy worked out for you and her and you have a new car. What did you get?
-
It is a bittersweet time for both of us. But we are both excited for this new opportunity.Pintlehook and TB John Thank this.

Place worked out but we blew the car budget getting it. But she's right on both major bus lines and walking distance of several dozen job opportunities.Pintlehook and TB John Thank this.

Sounds ok , the car will come , just try and stash some cash for when opportunity knocks.
-
That be the plan, for the most part.

My daughter is planning to sell her Buick Lucerne soon. Not sure on the year, but it has 160k on it and a 3800 v6. It's in great shape

Those 3800 series III engines are absolutely GREAT motors for dependable reliability! Keep the oil changed regularly, and that motor will outlast the rest of the car.
All the 3.8L engines have been proven to me over the years, and I've had all three series. The only difference is the increase in HP in the later engines. My 99 firechicken had a series II, and it was actually pretty fun to drive (still would have preferred a V8, though), my Grand Prix has a series III supercharged and will spook my neighbor's Corvette (can't beat him in the quarter, but he's gotta work for the win), and my precious Buick LaCross had a series III normal aspiration.
For a V6, the GM 3.8 is hard to beat!rocknroll81 and Pintlehook Thank this.
