3406c rebuild information

I recently purchased a 379 pete with a 3406c mechanical. I bought it knowing it was getting water in the oil. I put a new head gasket on it. Still water in the oil. I noticed coolant coming from the piss hole in the water replaced that. Still water in the oil. So after a few more tests including the air compressor and the oil cooler I have deduced that its a liner issue. So I figure time to in frame it. My question is while I have it apart I would like to add some ponies. While I'm at it and have the engine tore down. What should I do to increase and help handle added power?

 

I hear ya. I haul heavy and in upstate Ny so we have some hills around here. I would like to get around 500.

What turbo should I look for? Mine is set at 425. With a waste gated turbo. I'm unsure of the model of turbo

 

I googled that number and mine looks like that. Except I'm sure it's got cat printed on it. I didn't get a chance to get the numbers off it. Mine only makes a16-18 lbs of boost
