Sure they want to save money but when risk surpasses reward i guarantee u these people will know where to put their money. -
I don't know why anyone even gets excited about these articles anymore , it's always the same statements from drivers . let's see the the truck fuel itself , or let's see how they like it when it's stick in traffic. those are the comments from people who don't really read the articles on the so called driverless trucks because if they had read them they would know that a driver will be in the truck at all times ready to take control when needed . and to fuel of course .the articles always say driverless trucks or autonomous trucks when really they should be titled , truck gets equipped with autopilot for long stretches of boring interstate , because really that's all it is

Advances in technology can't be stopped, so it's each individuals responsibility to change with the times. This is where the H1B Visa is popular with American companies. Foreigners, especially from China and India, look way ahead and prepare themselves for technological advances by becoming educated in those fields. Too many Americans are lazy and want $15.00 and hour to flip hamburgers, so now McDonalds and other fast food joints are installing kiosks to replace those workers. The smart workers go to trade school and learn maintenance of those kiosks. If Americans don't learn new trades, the Chinese and Indians will and happy to immigrate and do those jobs.
I know a woman in Tennessee that worked fast food and is smart enough to see there's no future in that. She attended a trade school for maintenance on robotics in manufacturing plants and her first job pays $62K plus a full benefits package. It was a struggle at first for her to get her brain engaged to learn what was required after being in fast food for 15 or so years, but she saw what the future holds if she can succeed in the school and did it. -
Wrong forum in my opinion.
Chinatown is right....people ARE lazy.
Lease/Purchase people come to this forum to cry how they got ripped by a certain company; THERE'S A FORUM FOR THAT.
Owner/Operators come to this forum to cry how they got ripped by a certain company; THERE'S A FORUM FOR THAT.
Most usually one post wonders who did a Google search, and want to vent (understandable), and click on the first forum because A). It says "Bad" and B). It is the first forum in the line up.
Moderators and Administration I emplore you....shuffle this forum to the middle or end, and make new comers look through others to find it.. maybe they'll stop on the actual forum they should be posting in.
And to be on topic: Robots suck! -
I could probably work on those OTTOS via the IT side. AInt nothing on them things with computers that scare me at all. They would be electronic children with a list of demands 24/7.
Chinatown is right, service jobs like flipping burgers and those with no training whatsoever are dying. Or being replaced by Kiosk. (A form of robot)
We had 8 really bad years, you might want to shake it off and show that you still can learn new things and move forward. -
