back in the Good Life City.......had a pretty good week overall......one of the few times everything went off an on as scheduled. It allowed me to spend the night at home, then roll up 30 miles in Cordele to deliver. They don't open till 8, so there's no sense in being in any hurry.
Hope you fellas have a nice holiday......Dave, thought you were on a dedicated milk run to Cali?? -
Garden City, NY. Terrible day. I ran out of hours in the door. I was late to my 1st stop in Brooklyn and went over my hours. Both firsts for me. It took over 2 hours to drive the final 8 miles. I could have left a tiny bit earlier but I was trying to preserve my 14 so that I wouldn't run out before I even made it to the 2nd stop in case the first unload took too long. Either way, it wouldn't have helped much with this dispatch.
The dock was pretty tricky but it was a joke compared to this poor guy's down the street. I have one just like it on Long Island but at least I pull 48 footers. Headed out tonight to run the 70 miles home. what a waste of 10 hours.

Here's a noob question. if you run out of hours in the door and the customer says that you cannot park on their property what do you do?

Call DBL, they call tow truck.
-
Yup. call for a tow then tell the dispatcher "I told you so!" it's kind of pointless since you're break will be more than half way over by the time a wrecker shows up anyhow.
SingingWolf Thanks this.
