Ouch, but now you have a good strong engine that should last you a long time. Thanks for sharing. My crank broke in my 5ek couple years ago and that bill was 26 G's. Out of frame job with just a new crank, turbo, oil cooler, new bearings and replaced one hole. Labor killed me I think it was around $130 at the CAT house. I know it would of been cheaper at a local place but the mechanic at CAT is really good and trust him well. What really sucked was the engine had a in frame about 100,000 miles ago with rebuilt head, bearings, and 6 holes, but was done by previous owner before i bought it.
