Yeah...I "Rose Up" at my trainer. He,was "bit..ing" and belly yelling at me to go faster in a monsoon in Minnesota.I came around a curve in the highway and "all cars" stopped, because 0% visibility.I told him right there,Im not your bit.h ,how many wrecks have you had.His reply 5,but 4 of them were past 5 years ago.Was ready to "get him in a head lock". After that for the next 3 weeks,I was "Training him".LoL

I only read a page and a half, that's all I could take. Your trainer must be a saint, I would have kicked you to the curb a long time ago.

I think you are psycho and need to find another profession.

It's probably not your only option. For some reason, people associate trucking with some fat slob, a felon just released on parole, or some crazed methamphetamine addict who stays awake 14 days in a row, never stopping for food and urinating exclusively in bottles. It's a stereotype.

You know what, screw what people think and screw your trainer too. You're never gonna see this guy again once it's over. You know how I know? I work a local job with a set schedule. I never see my coworkers and we start and stop at the same time, at the same yard. This dude is gonna be a distant memory soon.

If you think you're not smart, you're probably just telling yourself that. It takes a lot of specialized training to pilot that 80000 pound death missile down the road.

It looks like people are just reading what other people have written about "BOY I WOULD HAVE KICKED YOU OUT OF MY TRUCK SIXTEEN WEEKS AGO!! and making their own variation of it. You're being too hard on yourself. We've all done some seriously dangerous #### out there, especially when we were learning. If you didn't kill anyone, get fined for it, or appear in court over it; you use the experience as a hard learning experience and you'll never do it again. I've done crazy #### before, spilled fuel once and swept it under the rug , backed into a stop sign and took it out, told myself I didn't know who did it, and drove away. Backed into a trailer pretty hard when I was pulling 53' boxes.

This one time I was pulling out of a dock at a receiver and the loading lock was still coupled to my DOT bumper. The resistance was really strong, and the DOT bumper was completely pulled out and shot. You know what I did? I backed that loaded trailer back up to the dock a little bit harder and a little bit faster, and it completely straightened it out.

Now, if I went on trucker report and confessed to these sins, it wouldn't be long before all the guys who knew better than me, would talk some #### about how they've never done anything in their lives, have eighty-seven million safe miles , whatever they wanna tell themselves.

Don't worry bro, there's no reason to be confessional to a bunch of strangers on the internet. They only know what you tell them about yourself.

I'll go along with that little confessional.

But I will be remiss if I did not take a moment to acknowledge yes there is a percentage among us that are unwashed, unsafe and god help us all dangerous and should be eliminated from trucking. Lives depend on it.

There are also a large amount of personal positions among us, some are saints, others are ######## who will kick a bad trainee out in 10 minutes. (*I have...) and everywhere in between. Dispatcher puts you into my tractor and says teach him or her. I don't know you from Adam or eve, but we are fixing as they say here in teh south to resolve that right quick.

    Good luck!

The problem is dispatchers (idiots) put rookies with drivers who can't teach their children how to read or add much less drive a ####ing truck and the veteran drivers get a big head and think they have a skill (teaching others) which they don't.

All you veteran super trucker rookie haters out there take a solid look at your children. If they're ####ed up and you think you are qualified to train and berate an adult, you need to rethink ####.

You're not even qualified to mold a brand new piece of clay much less go ####ing around trying to sculpt concrete.

That should be grounds for termination, at Western Express of all places it was.
