the truck i drive is governed at 67. my gps shows 68 - almost 69 with a new set of tires. must be a mack thing.
if you really do these things (which i doubt) - please stop. i see you complain about how people drive and then in the next paragraph you state how you play games with people. by all accounts a truck should be steady, predictable and deliberate.
downshift and hit the jake when someone is passing? who taught you how to drive? no diggity...
Do you really need to pass?

I've adopted this motto in both my work and personal life. I drive the speed limit since I'm hourly. My cruise is set. If you want to pass, go right ahead. You made your choice, you can figure out how you're going to get by me. The only time I will slow down and let you in is on a 2 lane road if there is traffic coming. And only because I don't want to be caught in a wreck due to your stupidity and poor judgement.

Defensive driving and professional courtesy be dammed
.... "poor judgement"? That can work multiple ways, driver. Two wrongs don't make a right.Last edited: Dec 4, 2016

No, while in the video it's the cars fault, I'd say only 60-70% his fault. It's mostly the pickup that caused the wreck by creating the road rage incident to begin with.4mer trucker Thanks this. -
If someone 1 mph slower is trying to pass me it's just much better for everyone if I just drop a couple mph off my cruise till they are a safe distance passed. However I am on eLogs too and sometimes that extra 11 miles can mean making it to the stop that I need to without violating so I will make my pass.
In that video the car and pickup are clearly at fault. Both were road raging. If I was driving the semi I would have put my 4 ways on and slowed down to end the blockade and get that car out ahead of me. I have a responsibility to keep my companies equipment safe as well as everyone else on the road including road raging idiots.4mer trucker, ShooterK2, Lepton1 and 4 others Thank this. -
