I just came across an ad for them today. It said they run a lot of freight from the midwest to the Carolinas, and midwest to Texas. That all sounds fine but what does the average truck gross in a week? How many miles does it take to gross that amount? How good is the fuel surcharge and do you get fuel discounts?
does anyone know anything about RT&T Enterprises in East Daubuque,il

I don't know how it used to be at RTT, but I've recently (2016) bumped into 5 of their current drivers. 2 with trucks that were purchased from RTT on their purchase program and paid off, 2 that we're still making payments on their trucks, and 1 that brought his own truck that was already paid off. all of them we're regional drivers. All 5 we're very happy, only 1 was a concerned about something that went bad on his truck a few weeks after starting. He said they worked with him really well to get it fixed even though he didn't have the money saved in escrow to fix it himself. The guy who brought his own truck said he loves it so much he will work there until he dies. All of them said they only work 5 days a week with an average of 1800-2000 miles and make more than enough consistently to pay all of their bills and stay comfortably afloat. These were all different days and locations throughout the same week. It's really got me thinking about it. My only concern is the truck prices, but then again any place that is a "buy here pay here" type, rips you on the price. You just have to have a plan and pick the right truck before getting into it.

I've heard anywhere from $1200-$1800 after all expenses. Fuel, Insurances, Escrow, Tolls, Truck payment. The guys I've talked to that have paid off their trucks (no balloon, once you make the last payment it's yours) have made anywhere from $2000-$2500. That's info I received right from 5 of their drivers. It makes a difference if you get the 72% or the 80%. Chances are if you only get the 70-ish% you already made someone there angry and that's when you'll start having issues. If your a yes man they will make sure you succeed. if your a fighter and argue with them, stop all the time, or go home too often they will screw you as if you screwed them first.

My experience with rt&t was 85% broker loads with no fuel surcharge. I made 80% of the load consistently. Unfortunately due to the low cost of freight and the high cost of fuel checks were inconsistent with what i was told was company average Bring home.(about 850.00 per week) i had quiet a few negative checks thru the corse of my employment with them. And unfortunately negitive checks don't pay the bill's. My truck was good. Unfortunately the warranty expired 3 day before i got there, but they did have the 7 day guarantee. If it broke in the first 7 days they would fix it. Kinda! Meaning as cheeply as possiable for them. They do have deticated runs but you wont see many of them after your first 4 to 5 weeks those do have fuel surcharge. And you do get 100% of them. I got starved out but maybe you will have better results than i did. Apparently going home every 3 to 4 weeks is going home to often even for a 34 hr rest. Good luck and to the buyer beware.

I run regional and do very well. True, Brokers don't normally give and F/S. Luckily I average 2 of them a week and home every weekend. I've yet to reject a load and watch my fuel costs carefully. Every company has it's pros and cons, the choice for me coming here has been very positive. My wife is even happy with the choice...
