My point was if I stopped breathing the oxygen level would fall off slowly , then slowly raise as I start back breathing . Should never had stair steps in the reading. Sensor lost connection for 10 sec . But since it dropped below 80% at any point ... Some times DRs use little common sense.

You can be UN Diagnosed as well

This was about to be my response. Plus when you go back to the Dr much lighter they tend to believe you. I didn't get a 2 yr until I went in 80lbs lighter in 8 months and the Dr put me back to "Normal".

I'd get the printout...If you don't have it they will only issue you a 3-month then when you bring in the printout the next day they will charge you $45 dollars to turn around and issue you the 1 year....That's what happened to to me when I got my DOT physical....So save yourself the money

I guess I better get the printout.

Yeah, the last doctor told me 7 hours a night average and 90 days worth of printouts. I don't think she knew what she was talking about.

I had sleep apnea before I ever gained weight. I was average to athletic build when I was diagnosed. It's purely medical and not a weight issue with me. I like using the machine as far as the rest it gives me but I don't like using it in front of other people (i.e. I'm a single guy that once in a blue moon gets the hook up).

I was told there is corrective surgery for it but that it is not guaranteed and it is brutally painful recovering from it. Otherwise I would do that in a second.

I hope sometime in the future there is a better alternative to using this machine.

I have apnea. I love my CPAP. My printout says I use mine 96% of the time but my company is still requiring me to have a modem. What regulation can I quote that says it's not necessary?

I must admit after finding the right mask, I use mine religiously and feel better than without using it now. More energy and I don't get tired doing the day. The right mask makes a world of difference.

None. CPAP is not required, so even requiring it goes above and beyond. This is 100% company policy and has nothing to do with requirements amyway.

So, since it's a company requirement to use one, it can be company requirement to have a modem for it. Ok, thank you.
