My hubby and I have US Cellular, and have been very happy with them. They just started a $99 all inclusive package with no limits on minutes, but that is available only for a single phone. We are on a National Family Plan.

US Cell just caught up with the game on that one! They were a bit slow on that plan.

I personally like AT&T. I have been with them since 1994 (Cingular) and have the same plan since for the last 8 yrs. That is something that I like, they will renew your contract each time with the same terms. My plan hasnt been offered for yrs and is better than any out there now. I travel quite a bit and never get charged for roaming or long distance and the roll over minutes keep me from ever going over my limit. My bill is always the same month after month. I dont have problems with dropped calls at all, I think that is also makes a difference on what phone you have concerning that. I have tried several different phone manufactures (Motorolla, Sony, Samsung & Nokia) and MY opinion Nokia is the best by far. They are much easier to use and have all the bells and whistles that they all have now a days.
    Good luck on your search.

I won't do business with AT&T. I have a long dislike for them.

Verizon is the best coverage wise (but expensive for deposit if u don't have such good credit), next would be at&t but prices are a little high, T- mobile is 3rd for coverage but prices aren't bad and they have flex pay options.

For those unaware... T Mobile is 1) the cheapest cost for the most coverage ($99 for unlimited everything, nationwide) and 2) T Mobile coverage will soon be the widest in North America because
    a) they have gone to "G3" (? think that's it) format and no longer the old CDMA format and
    b) they are coming out with WIFI/Cell phones which will transfer from one to the other meaning even more coverage.
And last, T Mobile is about to release a WIFI/G3 phone financed by Google which will be similar to the Apple phone but with more, including 3-dimensional GPS that can not only track you where you are and show you where to go, but also what the area looks like visually in a 360 degree pattern.

With the service and phone, a laptop will only be necessary for watching movies and keeping records. :)

This is all do out in the next 4 weeks. For those who want to wait, it'll just keep getting better (that's how technology is). But T Mobile is going to be riding the wave of the future for awhile and nobody is touching them. I've had Alltel for 8 years, Verizon for 3 years. Will NEVER use Verizon (screwed my bills up repeatedly, finally refunded money back but would not let me out of contract despite repeated screwups) or AT&T (they insisted my mom needed to pay her bill up to 9 months AFTER she died...and then demanded I pay it... morons). Personally, I think T Mobile is waaaay ahead of everyone and they cost ALOT less. Oh yea... they are also rated the best of all cell companies for customer service as well.

My personal phone is ATT. Been with for 10 years now. Also had problems when Cingular went ATT with calls dropping, but stuck it out and is better now. Anytime we need to work something out with ATT its no problem. Work gave me a Verizon. Sometimes signal is good sometimes not. Depends on where I am. WITH BOTH phones. Best thing for you to do is find a plan with a PHONE U LIKE and be stuck for your contract. BTW, cheap pay as u go phones signal SUX!! Get a GOOD PHONE!!

Verizon works great. Got a two phone shared plan. Blocked eveything not phone call related. No text, internet, downloads, etc. Really keeps the cost down. And the IN-Calling, which is Verizon customer to Verizon customer free, is sweet. So I can talk to the wife as long as I want any time of day or night. Two phones, free nights and weekends, free IN-calling,no roamingcharges, no long distance charges. $90.00 per month. And finding out that alot of my family and friends have verizon too! Great coverage and signal too!!!!!1

we use sprint/ nextel, they have a everything plan for $99 amonth. the only reason we stay with them is the d/c, But most of the time it sounds like your talking underwater. been with them for 5 years now. Been thinking of change soon. But when the phone part has know signal the d/c does and vise versa.Unless your in the mountains and most don't work anyway's. or Olney Il. then neither work for 6 miles.
