My Apu will not start. I push the Apu on button and the screen lights up and says Apu starting. Normally I would hear a relay click and the glow plugs whine but it does nothing. It goes through the Apu starting cycle a few times then it finally gives me a cranking limit message.
It goes through the same cycle it would like it's done a couple times when it's been brutal cold and doesn't want to stay running the first couple tries. Except in this case it does nothing.
Any ideas?

Had exact issue 3 weeks ago. Your APU starter is gone, need to replace it. Good luck to you. Tell your company to get you a motel until they fix it.

I would think I'd still hear the relay click and the glow plugs come on? When they come on they whine for a few seconds before the starter engages.
Edit: Bases on Bakari742's post maybe you are correct Sawmill. -
Ok I'll check that out.
As far as a motel I think I'll pass......Bakari742 Thanks this. -
Good luck, I hope you are not up north. It's cold down here, I couldn't sleep without APUMJ1657 Thanks this.

I'm up north.
I'll just run the big engine all night if I get cold........snowman_w900, TequilaSunrise and Bakari742 Thank this. -
Thanks Sawmill. I can't open that on my phone. I'll take a look on my laptop when I get home Wednesday.

Oh I see. The reason I brought up motel is that we can't idle our trucks in my company. And I thought the same applied to you, I was wrong.MJ1657 Thanks this.
