Still doesn't address the fact that the engine compartment is making a noticeably different sound when pulling up hills, lighting up the dash with check engine lights with the threat of the engine derating. I already know if i attempt to pull my way up hills getting out of CA I'm going to run into problems especially when I'm grossing 80k. Throw on top of that completely random and violent hard brakes and there's no way I'm driving this any further than the 30 miles to the nearest freightliner dealer.

There's one in Fontana. Hope issue gets resolved

I don't doubt you have some sort of issue (maybe bad voltage regulator) going on, but you need to stop whatever bad behavior that is resulting from this issue, until you can get the base culprit corrected.

What would be considered a "bad behavior"?Last edited: Dec 4, 2016

Anyone know what their Health insurance premiums are and the deductibles for a family plan ?

Any behavior that makes the vehicle unsafe to operate (erratic hard braking caused by mal-functioning collision avoidance system, for example) and that can potentially can be mitigated until it can be fixed.

From Minesooooota went down to Florida.
I picked up there on Friday going to Portland and Seattle. -
In my 6 years of driving I've never been this afraid of a truck. Drove about 60 miles today to a shipper and was totally paranoid about any vehicle behind me lol. So far no issues but we'll see what happens and if this truck had the ability to pull over Donner considering the last time I pulled up a hill in 7th the dash lit up like a xmas tree. Want to get me back to the yard.

Seems like a certain shipper in Portland might have hired a new shipping coordinator whose not much for attention to detail. There were some appointment time issues on my load (too little time between stops), get to first stop and the receiver (Trader Joes) says I'm 24 hours early. Anyway they take me, but the second stop appointment (Which happened to also be 24 hours later and 780 miles away) is causing all sorts of issues between Holland and whoever they are having to deal with regarding the second Trader Joes stop.
Seems I may have to take it to a cold storage in Jersey for them to deliver it a week later? Something's screwy somewhere. Not sure who's having to eat all this extra handling costs. But I'll be heading toward eastern PA early AM from IL, and they should get something nailed down tomorrow while enroute about where/when I'm taking the rest of this load.
Regardless this 3000 mile run won't make the cutoff, so a small 4200 mile check coming this pay period, with a bigger check hopefully coming next week ... unless I have another long load that fails to make cutoff like this one, end of next period. -
A small check with 4200 miles lol
