We do 2 week pay periods. My personal target is minimum 6,000 miles. 4200 mile paycheck, for 2 weeks, is pretty pathetic, but I've been much busier than that in reality. It balances out in the end. The office does try and work loads to coordinate with cutoffs when/where they can, but some loads just can't be helped in that way, especially if they have to go a significant distance, like cross country.

No. company driver. We do mostly longer runs. Running on a 7 day pay period, can often mean you get paid ZERO (negative with benefit deductions) if a long load (say 3,000 miles) falls just so-so. So for this reason they try and encourage all drivers to go on 2 week pay period.

If you're dispatched and loaded on a 3200 mile load on a Tuesday where there is a holiday Monday for instance, you may not get unloaded until the following Tuesday noon, missing Tuesday cutoff by a few hours.

I too thought 4200 was high. Lol.

    I get paid every week.
We got a choice back when I started.
Not sure if they're still letting drivers pick or what.

Rare I don't get a check. Sometimes they're bad especially after I come off home time, but it works itself out anyway.

I give up trying to figure this truck out lol. Thing is slamming on the brakes Saturday, today it's fine. Maybe resetting the battery fixed the issue but I don't understand how that had any effect on the onguard system.

Also I'm pulling a hill the other day on I40 heading west out of needles CA and the dash and derate buttons light up the dash. I pull up donner today and the check engine light shuts off as I'm grinding up the hill. Lol.

It seems like when I drive the thing in cold weather (it was pretty cold in flagstaff the other night) the check engine light goes on and then the engine operates at a temperature way below normal (150-170) almost like the thermostat is stuck open. Then when I'm in enough warmer weather the light eventually goes out then the temperature seems to go back to normal. Same thing happened last winter l, but I don't know.

Overall just been under a lot of stress lately. My parents dog (which I consider mine too) is at home struggling with cancer and is approaching the end. Apparently he's on steroids for inflammation now and feels better but the writings on the wall. Amazing how much a dog can be part of the family.

I talked to Richard and he mentioned there were a "couple" of similar incidents. Who knows why it happened.
