Hey, I'd set up a place next to a Walmart and some fast food or good home cooking meals that don't cost an arm/leg. Then a foot massage area and chairs with massaging in the seats for them sore bottoms :biggrin_25525:

LTLTuckrWife - I just had the same dream you have a couple days ago. I live in N Georgia where truckstops are few and far between. Anyone who has ever been up in my area knows.

I told hubby I would put one at the end of GA - 400. If you go North or East, there isn't a truckstop within miles. I'd make it a mom and pop with some good old southern home cookin, fresh baked goods and a salad bar with a wide range of goodies for the salad for the drivers that are vegetarians or health gurus. I'd have good showers and lounge area complete with comfy sofas and a big screen TV.

Now.......money, where to get the money? Well, it wont matter anyways because my little town would probably go against it. Here it's all about the tourists and how much they can get from them and if it doesn't look "historic" then they are afraid no one will come.

As far as that ice cream goes.....holy smokes! You could buy a gallon for that price. What do they think? Truckdrivers are rich?

Captive audience. Most of the truckstops are not anywhere near a choice.

If you have a good solid plan, you could get a small buisness loa, even through the government..

LOL... Yeah yeah yeah... I thought no one was reading that crap anymore.:biggrin_2559:

Truth of the matter is, there really hasn't been anything too interesting to write about. Occasionally, ideas will pop into my head—but then when I get a minute to sit down with the computer, the alzheimers sets in and I can't remember what the hell I was gonna write. That or I'm so dang tired after running all day that I just don't have the energy to write.

I promise, one of these days, when the moon is in the seventh house and Jupiter aligns with Mars, I'll update the thread.:biggrin_25525:
