Ways trucking companies steal your money.

Nope... just the title is wrong... W/S did not steal from you. Contract issue for school reimbursement.

If you were not interested in litigation on this why even come on here with such a misleading title a year later????

 

I paid my way through CDL school at a local technical college. However, my tuition was reduced due to grants. Most of the recruiters that visited our class threw out the sign-on bonus as if it was the deal maker. I never trusted the sign-on bonus racket. I'm just sayin'.

 

Sign on bonus ?? I thought it was School reimbursement?

 

That I can agree with... anything they promise get it in writing. If they decline after it is in writing seek legal advise.

 

What difference would the source of the money make? It comes out of your pocket whether you have to take a loan out or not. They misled you big time.

 

I'm trying to get mt mind wrapped around this one... They "steal" $7800 before you even start, and you still worked for them for a year? I'm not convinced they did anything wrong, depending on contract. That said, if you felt they should reimburse you and refused, why did you even stick around? Everything is on you at that point even if W&S clubs baby seals in their spare time, you were way more in the wrong for staying.
