    another alien mic. that's one ugly Mic.. if it works in a helicopter and can be used/heard it ought to work anywhere !!!

    Their OK, I like my RCAs better, and they sound a bit better for less price.

    The drawback to this mic is it is an end fire mic, and that is sometimes a PIA for people who are not used to it.

    You do know this mic is not made to be run through any thing but directly to the radio? I heard some clown out there boasting he had one and it sounded like crap. He had it driving the radio with a preamp.

    PR781 After 2 days of experimenting with different capacitor values to achieve the desired response taper plus other components to achieve the desired output level.
    Cuts through the airwaves like a knife through butter.

    Glad it's working for you. So many will buy it and setup it up through an equalizer and preamp and as I said it sounded like crap.

    I haven't taken the plunge yet and purchased one. I didn't want to be a guinea pig. I wanted to see what the results would be like before I ended up ordering one.
    If he can make it work like that on one of those Anytone Rigs I'll definitely purchase one.

    Honestly Rabbi, just get one and put it on a good cobra or some other rig you already have, you will like it. don't bother with the Chinese thing, it isn't worth it in my book - it should be $50 less than what they are asking.

    100% analogue. No rack gear, and no EQ.
