Does anyone make a magnetic panel that can fit on the inside of most exterior storage doors (where we would stow emergency supplies, etc) for tool storage?

pick up one of these from the truckstop. they work great to hold tools, straps, oil jugs.

I use a bag like one of these.
Landincoldfire Thanks this. -
I am thinking a magnetic (both sides) panel, or series of strips that can be used inside the door..... 2'x3'???
-
I actually use one of these in my kitchen at home and it's really strong but I don't think any magnet would hold up to the shaking trucks go through. There's really only two or three tools you'll use every week. I can pretty much do every thing I need to with a two and a half pound hammer, vise grips, tin snips and a razor knife.

I am not talking about "refrigerator magnet" strength, I am thinking something a bit stronger....

I know. I just don't think any magnet could hold a wrench over the bumps trucks take. I've seen some really strong magnets. Magnets that could hurt you if you're not careful with them and I don't think they'd secure a tool in that kind of vibration. Especially i70 through Indiana my freightliner is all aluminum and won't hold a magnet. Aren't Volvos petes an kennys all aluminum too?

Does your rig have a mounted toolbox on the tractor? If not, bolt one down on the catwalk or put a milkcrate in the cab.

Bear in mind that most boxes, side doors, etc are made of aluminum these days.
