How is it with all the bad information out there about Leasing a truck from a carrier do guys and girls constantly get in this situation??????????????????

 

They have the best sales people and recruiters in the land!!

 

Its a walk away full maintenance lease.

.... Why do these drivers think someone is going to come along and offer them this great opportunity To make lots of money and have a great life ?
... Let me remind every single new CDL holder of this one thing
.... Because you have a CDL means only one thing only
" you qualify to drive THEIR money maker".....and That's it !!!
Be wise enough to rise above the BS

 

They told him he'd make .55 cpm after expenses.
He believed them. They always believe what the company
Tells them.
95 percent failure rate be ######. They were all just
Lazy or couldn't run a business.

 

Western flyer is a good outfit-they run u as hard as u want and some.

 

Probably get $0.55 mile before taxes as long as you get xyz miles, and get 7 MPG.

I think the GIANT mistake or misunderstanding new drivers have with this, is they don't grasp the concept of the fixed costs.

I left a place that I did well at because I don't think the dispatcher grasped that concept, as every time I was poised to have an exceptional week, she would flake.

If you have your own truck, you really need to dispatch yourself, cause no loves you like you do.

These guys hear $0.55 mile and go great 2K miles a week, and I'm set.
Except the 2K mile weeks are the $0.08 mile profit weeks in the lease purchase world.

And really the way to really make good money is you have to team, to get the long miles to the truck.

Even then there will be a clause when you go over xyz miles they charge you an extra few cents per mile additional wear on the truck.

 

The thing about WFX also is the owner has a racing habit with several cars to support it so the drivers support his race cars and car haulers and new motors, and car bodies, and frames, and parts, and fuel, and tires, and uniforms, and food, and entrance fees, and, and, and,........etc.,

 

News flash: when you have a lot of money you get to buy expensive toys This is pretty much true in any industry. Doesn't matter if its trucking, real estate, technology, sports, music, etc.
