Don't be calling wildlife, this is not disney Sir. I hope you or someone in the villages have a .500 SW or a rifle for defense. You be approaching a wildlife that may include Kodiak and Polars. Something we are lunch meat to them. Yum for them ow for us. Make time while you are able. New storms are coming off the pacific I am going to see if I can do a roundup before you get into alaska if you have not already found my Current USA situation threads.russellkanning Thanks this. -
100 km/hr = 62.1 miles a trick I tell Americans when they ask about speed limit is drop a zero off highway sign and times it by 6.2 ... 100km/hr works out to 10 x 6.2 = 62 mph

watch out for the bison on the road near watson lake
and watch out for caribou....they run along in front of you instead of running off to the side of the road. -
And Celsius to Fahrenheit, double the Celsius number and add 32, gets you in the ballpark, say it's 5 degrees Celsius......5x2=10+32=42 degrees Fahrenheit. Just some gee whiz info.

You have Steamboat Pass coming up about 40 miles west of Fort Nelson. Then you get to the remote stuff. You'll never forget it that is for sure. Make sure you get fuel if you are less than 1/2 a tank before you leave Ft Nelson. The next place to get fuel will be Watson Lake. You can get it at Muncho Lake Lodge but it is limited and very expensive. When I say expensive it might be north of $6 gallon.

Are you running paper logs, or eLog (I suspect paper)? If eLog, it should show the proper HOS and whether or not you can keep running on recap.
Remember, on Cycle 1 we're 70/7, not 70/8. If you have to, a reset is 36 hours, but you can run on recap so long as you still have hours and have had a consecutive 24 hours off-duty in the last 14 days.
If you are on paper, the app Recap+ is super-helpful. It is especially useful for cross-border drivers because you can switch between all the various U.S. and Canadian HOS and it will show what hours you have coming up in the next 7 days based on your past 14 days.Last edited: Dec 12, 2016
