    More Miles!

    More Hometime!

I have never understood how this is supposed to be possible.

These reports from drivers relating what actually happened while they worked for a company are the most accurate and truthful. So anyone going to work for heartless express knows what to expect.
Some desk jockey from heartless will likely post a pile of B. S. ----don't believe it.

    Rusty Trawler Thanks this.

We had a Heartland driver in our office last week looking for work. He'd driven for Gordon for several years before Heartland bought them out.
I asked him what the main difference was between Gorson and Heartland. He said "Gordon cared about the drivers, Heartland doesn't care about anything".

It's only a matter of time, the megas will kill any company they buy, some slow and others just instantly. It is a shame.

Heartland hasn't changed much. Seven months there in 2001, I averaged 1725 miles a week. One week over 3k. One. Went home every two to three weeks.

Thanks OP that was a good description.

Overall most of what you described can be found at any mega-crap company now days. They all kind of run on the same philosophy. Those looking to work for any mega should make note of your post.

Do you ever see the official "average miles" posted or talked anywhere at Heartland? Believe me those mile you quoted are not far off from any mega's real average miles. But then you got the idiots with no sense of time or work that think they knock off 4000 miles a week just because they haven't ever got over the lies the recruiter told them.

They call it being "lean". maximizing profits with the least amount of capital spent. It's not that they don't care...they just care about money more lol

Also I forgot to mention they are about 50/50 on approving tolls. Or they only partially approve a toll way. Some of those Oklahoma back roads can get pretty dicey, but by God they save 10-15 bucks!

    Dharok Thanks this.
