Who pays fine?

Had a driver get a ticket for parking the wrong way on a city street , he din't turn it in and mysteriously quit .
I got that fine over a month later by mail.
Guess who got stuck with that..

 

How did you get a cop to get involved in that? Around here they would say it's a civil matter.

 

Not here they basically stole it under blackmail premises

 

So how did that work? You walked into the cop shop and said what...... My employer is black mailing me?

 

No called them to meet me. Do you not know what I did for 20 years?

 

Nope TtT, could you give us a clue? Something like changing your username so everyone knows what you did / do now?
Also, around here when it's obvious like a company firing you and not letting you get your stuff the cops will help. If it's two roommates arguing over who owns what though, not so much.

Are the tickets made out to the owner or company,or both company/owner and you? I got a ticket (twice) made out to company and (me) for company not payin their yearly UCR fees.UCR fees what the he'll is it? Them: "Well we don't expect you to know about it,but we're gonna make the ticket out to the company and you! I had to sign for accepting the overweight ticket on behalf of the company and was assured it would not hurt me in any way and didn't. I got a lot of details when I had to sign.

 

1. You can't believe anything any officer tells you ever. They lie. If I had a nickel for every time I was told a ticket wouldn't hurt me LOL.
2. Even if you don't have to pay the government for the fine, there are many companies that will make you pay one way or another.
