I hope that is the case, but the recruiter said there will be a 1 year contract for me.

I've seen more than once, that some recruiters could use a bit of help learning about what they are supposed to be selling. Drives some of us nuts, at times.....but, it is what it is. LOL :banghead::biggrin_25526:

You WILL NOT have a year obligation to Prime if you come with your full CDL in hand. Unless they have just changed very, very recently . ...and I have not caught word. Do not believe that to be case, at all.

That is ONLY for those that go through the whole training process, from permit to license. It even used to be if you left at at least 6mos, the remaining balance would be prorated to half. I think that that may have changed recently to full year, but not sure.

However, I DO know you will not have that obligation, from experience with a few guys I have run through.

Fresh CDL, or little experience, your going to have to do the 30,000-40,000 with a trainer before you can get your own truck, just like a regular TNT.

If enough time & experience, and it is recent, it will be up to trainer, dispatcher & safety to decide how abbreviated it may be. Could very well be immediate ,or significantly shorter than the norm.

Hope you been talking to Moose97 still. Think he will be your best source right now of that tanker info you needed.

If you need anything at all on other aspects of company, or anything else I could could help out with, feel free to contact me anytime.

Have to get back out end of week, but may well have to stop back around time you will be coming in. Maybe will be able to find time to meet up.

I have been assigned a "D" seat, probably because of my lack of recent experience. It has been a little over 10 years since I have driven a truck. However, I hope you are right. Not that it matters too much, because I plan to stay a lot longer than that if all goes well. I do have my CDL with all endorsements, and my TWIC card should be in the mail.
Yes, I have been in touch with Moose, and not only is he a fountain of knowledge, he is a great guy.

Many thanks to both of you..

Hey Moose97, I've been considering Prime Tanker also. My app has been approved and I'm looking at a regional gig out of Newark NJ. Said its weekly home time, Delaware North to New England. Any downsides?? I live on Long Island by the way, Thanks!
