Has anyone used one of these? At $39.99 it seams kind of pricey but if it works I will have to invest in one.

Tightening does not seam to be a problem when watching the videos but does it make the strap to tight to snap loose?

I had some of those fabricated out of steel. The only problem that I had was wear at the ratcheting mechanism from over tightening. After a couple of years I had to replace a couple ratchets. I don't use my hand ratchets much anymore but in the future I would only use the 'extension' to get a couple of clicks out of the ratchet. The ratchet will 'pop' when you snap it loose.

I've never used anything like that but keep in mind that if you can tighten it, you can use the same thing to push on the ratchet just a little bit then pop it loose.
